31 weeks along!!! Baby shower held at work :)



31 weeks along

My co-workers held a wonderful baby shower for me. They spoiled me. It was so sweet. There were desserts and gifts and I felt so special. I have enough diapers and towels for a month :) Gifts received from co-workers and bosses:baby bath and insert, diapers, rompers, a couple cute outfits, hooded towels, washcloths, baby powder, baby oil, shampoo, body wash, 2 hand made quilts, soft blanket,2 knitted sweaters/pants and mitts,a teddy bear, baby on board sign for car, crib mirror toy,silver bracelet, "Benny + Stella" necklace, bottles, and I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple things! Gift card for superstore...now all I need is a crib, stroller/carseat combo, socks, little hats,newborn clothing/sleepers and bedding...I will have to revamp my babiesrus.ca registry!
Unfortunately I don't have many photos to post from the shower...my camera was not cooperating.
My family will be throwing me a shower July 9th...yay!!!Party time as long as I don't pop before then.

I hurt my car today and  haven't had the best luck throughout the past few days.

Hopefully things get better...stress is baaaad.

Time is marching

I've been quite tired lately. Way too much is on my mind. I'm trying to stay calm.
This week I start my NST = non stress tests at the hospital. I have to go twice a week. They put a strap and monitor around my stomach and the monitor reads the baby's heart rate and I have to press a button every time I feel the baby move. I have to lay there for about 40 minutes.
It doesn't look like I will be going for any more 3D ultrasounds but I will be going for ultrasounds in Chilliwack every 2 to 4 weeks. The next is booked for June 1. Time is flying by way too fast!

Last weekend Benny and I went to Vancouver. Benny got to see Grandpa Zaida Colin and Grandma Janyce! He enjoyed himself, as did I.

Not much longer!

I only have about 10 days of work left and then it's time to prepare for this baby!
I am tempted to go for another 3D ultrasound now that more time has gone by and baby is bigger.
I am slowly starting to get ready! I am in the middle of planning Benny's 4th birthday. June 25-party with his daycare friends, July 2 (tentative) party at the beach in Vancouver with friends and family...July 9 (hopefully) baby shower with friends and family...not sure where yet! Time is flying.

I have been asked where I am registered...I wasn't registered anywhere because I really wasn't thinking that far ahead or expecting anything...but I am now registered at babiesrus.ca under Teddie Wosk for those interested. I have chosen a few odds and ends...haven't actually had a chance to short list items on there. Really hope I get into a 3 bedroom at the co-op soon...it's going to be a tight squeeze with only 2 bedrooms-2 bed and a crib!!! Not to mention way too many toys :P

The weekend is finally here!

Lately I haven't been able to sleep past 6 or 6:30am. It's driving me nuts. I don't know if it's my body's way of saying "hey, you better get ready to be waking up every 2 hours to feed a baby" or what? It makes it very difficult to stay awake throughout my work days though!

On Sunday it's Mother's Day. I'm heading to Vancouver to celebrate my Grandfather's 85th birthday with my aunt and uncle, cousins, my sisters and of course Benny! We will have a very full Sunday!!! We will be making our rounds. Lots of visits planned.

I better remember my camera...

I have lots of grocery shopping to do and some Mother's Day gifts to purchase. I better get on that quickly.

Less than 10 weeks to go until this little baby is born :)

29 weeks and counting!

Baby has been moving around lots!
During my last ultrasound the technician said the baby was having a party...must have been dancing! I felt lots of kicks and movement. Heart rate was 150 beats per minute.
Not much longer to go. Time is flying.

Benny is quite excited about being a big brother. He will be very protective I can tell already. He said he will be changing diapers :P That should prove to be interesting.

Telling the friends!

I kept my giant secret from my friends for months, lastnight I told them. They seemed rather shocked and a little disappointed that I hadn't shared this news earlier. Overall they were happy for me :) The news is pretty much public now.There are still many people who don't know about my pregnancy but it's pretty much no longer a secret! I'm excited. 2 months until Benny turns 4 and not long after that we will welcome the new baby! Yay :)
