Boredom

It's Saturday night and I'm at home with the kids. Ben is on his iPad, the tv is on, Stella is playing with some toys and I'm making some dinner. The mood is kind of blah. We were in a car accident a few days ago. We have soft tissue injuries but the emotional pain is taking it's toll.

I'd love to go out for some fun, nothing has presented itself though :/

So long Facebook-for now at least

I've been on facebook ever since it became popular. I find it a pain in the butt. I was always checking for updates. It became an addiction. Addictions are bad, so I've learned...
I deactivate my account. although there are a dozen or so people I need to get in touch with so they have my contact information, the rest really don't need to know what I'm doing, who I'm with or anything of that sort. Plus, I have only been taking photos on my iphone, my NIKON has not been getting used and the quality of printed iphone photos is terrible. Not up to my standards at least.
I don't even know who reads my blog? I think I should concentrate on adding to it, rather than facebook!

Peace. That's what I'm trying to achieve within.

End of 2014....getting back to writing

Well, where do I begin? Stella is 3 and Benny is 7.
We moved to Vancouver May 2013 and boy is it good to be back!
Benny's career is going well. We got to visit Punta Cana, Dominican Republic where he got to be in a commercial/ads for The Westin Resort. Ads/commercials will run sometime in the next month or two.

This is Benny’s fourth “project”. He seems to enjoy being on camera. We all know I took enough photos of him while he was a baby.

Benny is in grade 2 and loves school, especially math. He’s in a Math enrichment class-who’s kid is he? LOL. Definitely didn’t get my math skills. I’m so proud of him and how adaptable he has proved to be.

Stella goes to daycare and has got a huge personality. She’s fearless and hilarious. My mom nicknamed her “firecracker”.

Both kids are in ice skating lessons and will soon be in swimming lessons as well.

Benny and Teddie's excellent adventures! (&STELLA'S)

Benny's first flight

Benny, Stella and I braved a huge adventure. We all got on a 33 seat airplane (with Grandpa Larry Erickson)on November 4th at YVR's South terminal. We landed in Port Hardy for about 20 minutes then made our way over to Bella Bella (NORTHCOASTAL BC). The flight was under 2 hours and it was quite breathtaking scenery. We took a little sea taxi to Denny Island where we were greeted by Grandma Janyce Erickson at The Shearwater Lodge.

We stayed for one week. It was very relaxing. We had a great visit!

Bella Bella...

Denny Island has one little school, one bar&grill, one post office, one grocery store, one toy store, one playground....very remote but so beautiful. I'm sure we will return.

Stella is 12 weeks!

Last weekend we spent time in  Vancouver. Friday night was \Stella's first Rosh Hashannah. She met lots of new cousins! Happy Jewish New year!

On Saturday we went to the CONSERVATORY where we visited Art, our old Macaw. He didn't appreciate that I had children. He is a jealous parrot.

We went to Red Robin for cousin RJ's 17th birthday. On Sunday we went for brunch at Aunty Sandi and Uncle Simon's where Stella got to meet her great grandfather Zaidi. Then we went to Science World where the dinosaur exhibit scared Benny! Aunty Becky calmed him down.
